I get a feeling a lot of people prefer jMonkey. I haven't tried any of them personally.

I've read some stuff about those, jMonkey does seem the best one, but I'm nobody when it comes to 3D graphics, so I can't really know.
The first idea was making a 2D game, but if we can gather a considerable amount of people who can create 3D graphics, why not? ^^
