Pygame: The Python Module

Post  scrag_10 on Tue Jun 02, 2009 4:26 pm

Perhaps we could do it with Pygame: The Python Module (?)

what is your opinion on this idea?

It's a possibility. But let's first focus on the Design, later we'll get on coding.

Perfect!!! Python also runs in GNU/Linux systems!!!

If you confirm we'll be using this language, I'll start studying it Wink

Don't worry about the language, we can easily adapt any code from one language to another. Pygame is useful, but I've been thinking about using Darkstar instead (Java). The Engine part is fairly easier than the web part, in fact.

What do you guys think?

Darkstar isn't a game engine though, it is just Server stuff. So it can be used with any engine.

@ Seshiro
Nothings been decided yet.

I know it's not. But the server part is hard either way. There are engines for Java too, but we can code our own.

I'm with Kaoro.

The hard part, "server stuff", must be first decided.

So I think we can try to make our own engine to. If it becomes a problem we can use someone's else, but I think we should try it first.
